  • Duration: 1 day
  • Availability: from March to November
  • Departure dates: Every Friday (contact us if you wish to do the Morning Sun Yoga Hike experience on another day)

We will start our day very early to enjoy the yoga practice with the sun rising from the Mediterranean Sea and receive its powerful energy. Our air-conditioned transfer vehicle will take you to one of the few virgin beaches of the Costa Brava where we begin the yoga session. The yoga session will last around 1h30 and is based on a mixed level Hatha/ Vinyasa Style practising Pranayama (breathing exercises), Asanas (postures) and Savasana (final relaxation).
After the practice, if the weather allows, you can enjoy a short swim in the sea while we prepare the vegetarian, Ayurveda-oriented breakfast for you. A delicious tea and fresh fruits together with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea are also waiting for you. We will talk about mindful eating, the importance of food and the connection of food & energy for our own wellbeing and happiness.
On the beach we will put on our hiking shoes and start the hike along the beautiful coastal trails (Ronde de la Costa Brava). The first part of the hike will be a meditative walk based on Buddhist tradition. In walking meditation we use the experience of walking as our focus. We become mindful of our experience while walking, and try to keep our awareness involved in every step, sound and sensation.

If the group wants and the weather allows, we can make another stop at one of the beaches or along the coastal trail to enjoy a short sitting meditation session. And if time and nature allows, we will create together a natural Mandala along the way or on one of the beaches. According to Tibetan culture, the creation of Mandalas has great benefits: from emotional to health, from mental clarity to spiritual growth. During the walk, our mountain guide will give you insider knowledge of the Costa Brava: the history of its fishermen villages and information about the typical flora & fauna of this region.

If the group wishes, there will be some more free time to have a swim on one of the beaches, relax, enjoy the sun and a delicious vegetarian lunch. Later on we will hike back to our air-conditioned transfer vehicle and return to Barcelona, where your tour concludes at the original departure point.
With the Mediterranean sun in your heart, you can enjoy the rest of your days in and around Barcelona.

Hiking Area

Map

Our Yoga Hike will bring us along the coastal trails of the Ronda de Costa Brava. We will start directly from one of the few virgin beaches of the region and hike one the most beautiful parts of the 220km long coastal footpaths: from xxxxx to xxxxx.

During the hike, you will be surrounded by natural beauty, the verdant green of the pine trees on one side and the deep blue of the sea on the other. The spectacular trails of the Ronda de Costa Brava are a wonderful way to discover small coves, vertiginous cliffs, charming beaches and other unforgettable coastal beauty spots. Throughout the day you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea!
Depending on the group’s fitness and skill level, the tour can be adapted with longer or shorter hikes. For example we can do a circular trail (coming back the same footpath) or in case the group wants to enjoy a longer swim, we can even pick you up with the transfer vehicle from another beach.

Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is a stunning coastal region in Catalonia just north of Barcelona. Costa Brava means ‘rugged coast’, a reference to the spectacular cliffs and hundreds of coves that line the coast. The Costa Brava is dotted with coastal trails – a series of paths, built by fishermen and the police force who patrolled the coast on the lookout for smugglers, that extend over 200 kilometers. These trails are known as Camins de Ronda de Costa Brava.
Certain sections of the old trails disappeared due to coastal development in the 20th century but many parts have been lovingly restored, providing visitors a unique means to explore the coast, its little coves, beaches and quaint fishing villages.
